As a Local Community Coordinator you will support the delivery of time limited and short term projects in the WA Alliance to End Homelessness space by connecting and collaborating with various stakeholders across our agency as well as within the community and government. The scope of the role includes chairing the Rough Sleepers Coordination Groups for both Mandurah Zero Project and Rockingham including Kwinana Zero Project as well as providing direction to Rockingham and Kwinana communities, supporting them to engage in best practice, make sound decisions, problem solve and seek innovative solutions when tackling the issue of homelessness.

It is a part time role, working 3 days per week, based in Rockingham, on a fixed term contract until June 2026.


Skills And Experiences

What you will bring

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in the homelessness space
  • Previous project management experience
  • Well-developed computer skills (MS Suite)
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan work
  • Stakeholder, negotiation, change and project management skills including the ability to influence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good written and presentation skills, including experience in group facilitation and/or coaching.
  • Strong networking skills and collaborative approach
  • Sound understanding of the Advance to Zero Framework would be highly desirable

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Card and a WA Drivers Licence.

  • A competitive salary from $96,088 per annum pro rata + 11.5% superannuation
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
