Expression of Interest: Disability Support Workers

Are you passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to live their best lives? We are currently seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Workers (DSW).

About the Role: As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, supporting personal and NDIS goals, and encouraging community participation.

This is a casual position with flexible working hours, including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and sleepovers, based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide both physical and emotional support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, and household duties.
  • Facilitate community participation and social activities.
  • Support individuals in achieving personal and NDIS goals.
  • Record, document, and report on client progress and activities.
  • Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements, including maintaining client dignity and privacy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience or passion for working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting independence and supporting individual choice.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working with Children’s Check (or the ability to obtain one).
