  • Part-time (10 hours), ongoing position based in New Norfolk TAS, with additional hours to be negotiated with successful applicant
  • $43.08 - 46.35 phr (SCHADS Level 4B) + Leave loading + Super + Salary packaging

About this Program

Consumer Directed Services (CDS) refers to services which are led by and funded by individual consumers. This includes services such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services, iCare, Insurances and brokers. These services provide support, care and access to services and technology for Australians with disabilities as well as their families and carers.

About the Opportunity

As the Supported Independent Living (SIL) Team Leader, you will be responsible for representing Wellways practice in the provision of leadership to the team acting as a positive role model at all times to ensure participants are supported to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community.

This position will be working across Wellways teams and with various external stakeholders which include the NDIA, other disability service providers, families, and health professionals within the circle of participants.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and managing daily operations of allocated SIL property and participant
  • Ensuring high quality outcomes are achieved for the service
  • Planning and completing service agreements and schedules of supports with participants
  • Supporting NDIS participant plan reviews
  • Rostering SIL shifts
  • Recruiting, onboarding, supporting, mentoring, training and supervising SIL staff

You will also need:

  • Minimum of Certificate III in Community Services or related and/or relevant experience
  • Must have mental health experience
  • Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • Satisfactory National Police Records Check (less than 12 months old)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
