Our Position:
The Xavier Social Justice Network (XSJN) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the operations of the Xavier Social Justice Network and the implementation of the XSJN Strategic Plan.
The XSJN Coordinator works closely with the XSJN Committee and its Board in implementing the vision, values and mission of the Network. The XSJN Coordinator supports and guides the work of the Network, ensures that it is working within the vision and guiding principles of the Network's Charter, manages the Network's volunteering partner agencies and related advocacy events, and strives to implement the XSJN Strategic Plan.
Tenure:
- Part Time Ongoing (2 - 4 days each week, Term Time only – to be negotiated with the successful candidate)
- Term Time only
Selection Criteria:
- Appropriate qualifications to be able to meet the inherenet requirements of the role (or equivalent work experience)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the issues involved in Ignatian Service, justice and social disadvantage within the broader Jesuit context (preferable)
- Expereince in working or volunteering within Jesuit Social Justice or Jesuit Services or in an education environment (preferable)
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent IT skills and expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Mailchimp (or other CSM platform) or other appropriate platforms
- Experience working in community settings and previous experience working with volunteers
- Experience in leading a team
- Proven capacity to meet effective deadlines
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop, cultivate and maintain professional relationships with staff, alumni and parents, volunteers and agencies
- High level of professional personal presentation
- Capacity to operate effectively in a team environment
- Flexible, creative and able to adapt to program and variations as needed in a changing environment
