The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Utilise systems to provide high level, timely and quality administrative support to Business Unit including the preparation of travel arrangements and itineraries and maintenance and monitoring of unit rosters.
- Coordinate and implement business support systems and processes that contribute to the improvement and efficiency of the QPS.
- Ensure efficient diary management and scheduling of tasks for the Director.
- Assist in the preparation of submissions, approvals, and coordination of various correspondence, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders through liaison with department employees, managers and executives, and other divisions and departments as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members in prioritising support tasks and meeting deadlines under the direction of the Director.
- Prioritise, coordinate, and process requests for information, assistance and business support services with accuracy, timeliness, and effectiveness.
Role Requirements:
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
- While not mandatory, experience in administrative roles within public service and/or marine sectors; proficiency in office software and management systems would be beneficial to succeed in this role.
