Position Overview :
We are excited to announce a position of Retail Manager who will work at Mel Foods Pty Ltd. This role is responsible for selling of products, provide expert advice to customers on product use, ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. They will oversee all retail operations, ensuring safety, and compliance with company standards. They will manage inventory, staff, and the store layout, while ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of projects.
Tasks & responsibilities :
- Responsible for organising and controlling all the operations of retail outlet and warehouse
- Manage inventory, stock takes, daily reconciliation, banking and other administrative duties as required.
- Collaborate with owners to align retail strategies with organizational goals
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet or exceed financial targets
- Product selection and setting up prices by implementing competitive purchasing and pricing policies to reduce expenditure and increase sales
- Organise sales promotions and in-store events
- Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
- Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
- Resolving staffing issues and stock discrepancies
- Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store's reputation
- Ensure the customer experience is positive, leading to new opportunities and repeat business.
- Contribute to a safe and positive work environment
- Deciding which products to offer, how much stock to keep, and the level of customer service to provide
- Ensuring organisational policies and procedures are followed
- Effectively manages the store profit and loss and accurately forecasts resource demands
- Control costs without compromising standards and customer service
- Ensure occupational health and safety guidelines are always maintained and adhered by the staff.
- Diploma or higher in the relevant field
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Salary commensurate with experience. $74,000 to $78,000 plus guaranteed superannuation.
