Summary:
The Retail Manager is responsible for leading and managing the retail team to achieve exceptional customer service and maximize sales growth. This role ensures compliance with operational standards, manages budgets, and drives operational efficiencies. The Retail Manager develops and maintains an engaged and high-performing team while ensuring a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance of the retail team
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability and ensure timely resupply
- Achieve operational excellence by implementing and maintaining operational policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including visual merchandising, marketing, and branding standards
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to meet financial objectives
- Analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth
- Monitor and control expenses, such as payroll and inventory
- Hire and develop a high-performing retail team
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members to maintain high levels of motivation and engagement
- Develop and maintain a positive work environment where employees feel valued and recognized
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in retail management or related field
- Strong sales and customer service orientation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions autonomously
