Clicks IT Recruitment is working with a large Australian organisation which plays a vital role in the travel of millions of Australians daily.
As Senior Engineering Specialist working on a portfolio of systems, you will be responsible for the technical performance, sustainment and enhancements of one or more operational systems, ensuring the systems meet agreed technical performance requirements and continue to provide services to industry.
The Role:
- 12 Months Contract
- Hybrid engagement - not remote
- Eagle Farm location
The Responsibilities:
- Perform systems engineering tasks aligned with frameworks, processes, and policies.
- Develop technical specifications and standards based on customer requirements.
- Investigate and resolve complex system issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
- Prepare and review test plans, participating in system testing for new implementations and updates.
- Analyse system performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Oversee system changes to maintain technical integrity and consistency.
- Provide specialist technical expertise and contribute to cross-training initiatives.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust and reliable software systems, including quality assurance and configuration management.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with applying Systems Engineering practices.
- Proven expertise in stakeholder and vendor management.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work independently as a senior team member to deliver successful outcomes.
- Exceptional documentation skills, including preparing and reviewing solution architecture and system design documents that align with strategies and initiatives.
- Experience in the design, maintenance, and support of advanced technical systems, particularly in mission-critical environments.
- A degree in Engineering or Information Technology from a recognised institution.
- Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in a relevant engineering field in compliance with applicable legislation.
Due to the nature of work, candidates must be Australian Citizens with a 5 year footprint in Australia; to obtain a security clearance.
