Our client is a well known government department, seeking a Desktop Support Officer. You will collaborate with an ICT technical team to maintain enterprise services and solutions in Microsoft Windows and M365 environments.
Based in a CBD office, the role may involve occasional travel across South-East Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and support enterpriseICT environments using expertise in:
- Operating Systems, Microsoft 365
- Desktop and Mobile Hardware
- Conferencing Room Hardware & Software
- Network Fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN)
- Antivirus Solutions
- Scripting Technologies
- Perform analytical and problem-solving tasks within an ITIL-based framework.
- Support and deploy ICT hardware and software across Queensland.
- Provide expert advice, liaise, and consult with staff at all levels on Information Systems infrastructure.
- Foster a culture of high-quality customer service through adherence to quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Technology Services Group to enhance service delivery.
- Proven ability to analyze, investigate, and resolve ICT support issues in a complex environment.
- Self-directed with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- Strong knowledge of desktop/mobile hardware, Microsoft operating systems, and Microsoft 365.
- Working knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals.
