These roles are offered until 30 June 2025, unless otherwise determined.

Your Opportunity
As The Senior Education Officer You Will
- Provide assistance to parents who are considering registering their child for home education or who currently have their child registered for home education, to understand their statutory obligations.
- Perform functions under the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006 as the Director-General's delegated decision maker in relation to home education.
- The Senior Education Officer reports to the Assistant Manager, Home Education Unit, Registration Services Branch, Policy, Performance and Planning Division.
- Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide information and expert technical advice on home education legislation, policies and procedures to parents considering registering their child for home education or who currently have their child registered for home education.
- Assess and process home education initial and continuing registration applications made pursuant to the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006.
- Conduct internal reviews as necessary in accordance with the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006.
- Exercise delegated decision making powers in relation to home education pursuant to the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006.
