Industrial Painter & Blaster - Local Workshop Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Paint & Blaster to join our clients workshop team. This role is essential in ensuring that our products are prepared, painted, and finished to the highest standards. As a Paint & Blaster, you will be responsible for prepping surfaces, applying coatings, and blasting materials as part of the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience in abrasive blasting and spray painting, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and removing debris or contaminants before painting or blasting.
- Use abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces, including metal and industrial components.
- Mix and apply paint, primers, and coatings to a variety of materials, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finish.
- Maintain and operate spray painting and blasting equipment.
- Inspect completed work for defects, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management of paint and blasting materials.
- Perform general workshop duties as required, including equipment maintenance and cleaning.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role (Paint & Blaster, Spray Painter, or Surface Preparation).
- Strong knowledge of various painting techniques and blasting equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills.
