The role
We have a unique opportunity available for a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our team in Kenwick, WA. In this role, you will prepare, paint, and finish various surfaces and equipment to meet client specifications and industry standards. Your expertise will contribute to the durability, aesthetics, and functionality of our products. You will report to the Workshop Supervisor and work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Key tasks include:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
- Apply industrial coatings using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.
- Inspect and maintain painting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
- Mix and match paints and coatings to meet specific color and texture requirements.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure uniform coverage and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Your profile
- Proven experience as an industrial painter or similar role.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, coatings, and surface preparation methods.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in industrial painting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, standing, and repetitive motion.
