Job Title: Assistant / Provisional Bicycle Education Instructor
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic bicycle instructor to join our team as an Assistant / Provisional Bicycle Education Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe riding practices for transport and fun, connecting with a range of participants from children to adults, and inspiring more people to ride a bicycle. The role requires the ability to work independently, problem-solve effectively, and have a love for riding bicycles.
Responsibilities:
– Delivering high-quality training packages that meet our curriculum standards
– Supporting Instructors who teach safe riding practices for transport and fun
– Help instructing participants from children to adults
– Connecting with participants and building relationships with them
– Travelling across WA as required
– Working towards creating a culture of cycling in WA
Skills:
– Understanding of teaching methodologies for both children and adults
– Ability to learn quickly new concepts related to our curriculum
– Excellent communication skills
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you must possess the following qualifications:
1. A degree or certificate (or working towards) in teaching, sustainability, community development or health promotion preferred.
2. Current First Aid Certificate.
3. Working with Children Clearance.
4. AusCycling Community Skills Instructor certification (or willingness to obtain).
5. Valid driver’s license.
Working Hours: Casual role, must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. One Sunday per month.
Location: South Fremantle, we deliver predominantly within Perth Metropolitan area, with occasional travel in regional areas in WA
Duration: Ongoing casual employment
