Description:
The Human Resource (HR) Consultant is responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to management and staff across the QAS, on all aspects of human resource management including recruitment and selection, HR policy, administration of employee and workforce information, employment conditions, workforce planning, training and case management.We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of contemporary HR legislation, principles and practices and the proven ability to apply that knowledge to resolve complex human resource management issues.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and review of a range of HR related policies and procedures that support organisational objectives and the provision of best practice HR management services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing advisory and consultancy services to management and staff on a wide range of complex human resource management issues, including the negotiation of significant workforce management matters and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the proven ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships, liaise effectively and work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise work to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including the ability to deal with competing demands and manage multiple complex projects and tasks.
- Whilst not mandatory, experience in large scale recruitment processes will be highly regarded.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
