What You Will Be Doing

The Adults Using Family Violence Intake and Assessment Practitioner is a valued member of the Family Violence Program at Peninsula Health. The role works within the state-funded Safety and Support Hubs, otherwise known as The Orange Door (TOD) and this position will be based at the Hastings site.The role focuses on assessing and connecting with Adults Using Family Violence (AUFV) to ascertain risk and support safety planning for people experiencing family violence. You’ll be part of an integrated team with specialist practitioners from other organisations that form the Bayside Peninsula Area (BPA) Orange Door consortium

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Community Development, Social Sciences or related field.
  • Qualifications must align with the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioner (Recommendation 209)
  • Experience in related Family Violence, child wellbeing or family services sectors
  • Demonstrated risk management and safety planning skills and a familiarity with the Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) tool.
