As a Senior Project Officer (Due Diligence and Agreements) you will be involved in commercial and economic analysis and the provision of advice on the development and management of financial incentive and funding agreements that aim to boost Queensland’s economic development and competitiveness. Your Responsibilities
- Provide sound advice on the development and management of agreements with sensitive financial/funding arrangements to ensure the State's interests and objectives are met, and risks are appropriately managed.
- Develop and manage agreements, including term sheets and reference schedules, for a range of funding and incentive agreements (simple, intermediate and complex) as well as commercial contracts. This involves reviewing and finalising draft funding agreements and, when necessary, coordinating with and instructing the Legal Services Unit and external legal advisors.
- Undertake agreement management activities which includes the preparation of briefs, claims verification, acquittals, preconditions assessment, variations, terminations and novations.
- Effectively communicate and engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues related to agreements and assessments.
- Undertake scalable commercial, due diligence, risk, probity checks and financial assessments on investment, industry and infrastructure projects and proponents with complex organisational arrangements for various programs, including one-off strategic projects.
- Prepare responses to and assist with coordination of foreign investment proposals, maintain and update dashboards, reporting schedules and spreadsheets, including forward estimates.
