Their team of experienced professionals is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses navigate the complex insolvency process and achieve the best possible outcomes.Position Overview:We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Insolvency Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join the team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will work closely with the team of experts to provide high-quality financial and accounting services to clients in various stages of insolvency.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and other relevant documents for clients in insolvencyConduct thorough investigations and analysis of financial records to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvementAssist with the preparation of statutory reports and documentation required for insolvency proceedingsLiaise with stakeholders including creditors, legal professionals, and regulatory bodiesCollaborate with the wider team to develop and implement effective strategies for managing insolvency casesKeep up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations related to insolvency and ensure compliance in all activitiesMentor and provide guidance to junior team members as requiredContribute to the overall success and growth of the firm through active participation in business development activities
Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of 1-3 years of experience in insolvency or a similar roleCPA or CA qualification highly desirableStrong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and insolvency legislationExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholdersStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with insolvency software such as Xero or MYOB highly desirable
