Due to our continued growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join the AE Smith team located in our Melbourne office at 26 Cato Street, Hawthorn East branch.
About the Role:
The Management Accountant will assist with the delivery of quality administration, being responsible for all financial reporting, analysis and accounting within the specified Region.They will need to manage tight timelines and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and work independently to achieve business targets.Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the delivery of quality administration
• Being responsible for all financial reporting, analysis and accounting within the specified Region.
• Building the relevant Region’s Budget and Forecasts, in conjunction with operations.
• Early identification and resolution of potential issues or underperformance.
• Month to month management and analysis of working capital balances.
• Month to month analysis and forecasting of Revenue (WIH, Recurring, Weighted Pipeline).
• Timely month end reporting and analysis of regional results.
• Attend month end review meetings and assist to provide feedback on the regional financial performance and provide insight on performance against individual budgets/ forecasts.
• Advanced MS Excel and experienced in SAP
Necessary Skills & Attributes For The Position:
• Experience as an Accountant in a similar industry.
• An understanding of accounts, projects and financial reporting with experience in cost analysis to target variance and discrepancy reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, work prioritisation and capable of working in dynamic environments
• High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and time management skills and able to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities
• Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero Harm environment
Qualifications Needed:
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting
• CPA/CA qualified
