Opportunity6-month hourly rate contract + 6-month option to extend for a talented Information Architect to join a mid-sized Federal Agency. Melbourne CBD Based. 40 hour week. Flexible work arrangements on offer and a market rate.
Role
The Information Architect will design, create, deploy and manage the way data is to be structured, stored, used, integrated and managed in IT systems. You’ll support its reform of information management within the Agency.
You will design policies and procedures for the creation, management and destruction of information assets to effectively deliver information, insights, and services to the public at the right time in the right format.
Responsibilities
Analyse existing information and records management processes and procedures, classifications, systems, business requirements and user needsIdentify opportunities for change and reform in the way the Agency manages its information assetsDescribe the?metadata, structural hierarchies and relationships?for Agency information assetsDesign an information classification and access modelOptimise the balance between searchability, usability, compliance and security for information assetsDraft standards, policies and procedures for the appropriate creation, description, maintenance, use, preservation, secure storage and disposal of digital data, information, and recordsProduce technical plans, blueprints, and roadmaps to articulate the business and technical benefits of proposed information architecture solutionAdvise ICT projects on compliance with the Information ArchitectureWork with Enterprise Architects to ensure architectural quality and compliance with governance
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in information architecture and records management, including the drafting of standards, processes, policies and proceduresKnowledge of agency compliance obligations under the Archives Act 1983Familiarity with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and the Information Security Manual (ISM)Hands-on experience working with electronic document records management systems (EDRMS).Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teamsBasic awareness of AI and use cases in Information and Records management
