Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Ecommerce Merchandise Planner to join the Seed Heritage team. This role is responsible for driving and maximising the financial performance of our online channels by budgeting, analysing, and recommending strategic sales and stock initiatives.Reporting to the Merchandise Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in optimising stock levels, analysing sales performance, and ensuring seamless supply chain operations to enhance our online business.
THE ROLE:
- Develop and manage sales and gross profit budgets by online channel across various timeframes.
- Conduct detailed analysis on sales, stock, and sell-through rates to identify trends and opportunities.
- Work closely with Planning Analysts and Merchandise Planners to optimise stock flow and replenishment.
- Monitor campaign stock needs, ensuring promotional and business initiatives are fully supported.
- Provide real-time sales insights during peak promotional periods using tools like Google Analytics.
- Analyse customer returns trends and ensure aged stock remains productive.
- Partner with the Ecommerce team to ensure accurate site merchandising and promotional content.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain efficient stock allocations and order fulfillment.
- Present category and sales performance updates in weekly business meetings.
- On-site role 5-days per week, based in our St Kilda Road offices.
- 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably within an eCommerce or retail environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and provide strategic insights.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset with a keen eye for opportunities to improve performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Analytics, and planning/reporting tools.
