Key responsibilities and duties undertaken by the role include:
- Leading and coordinating the development of subordinate legislation and service level agreements for new and existing financial assistance programs.
- Leading and providing expert advice towards developing program policy and design for financial assistance programs.
- Representing QRIDA and presenting at program owner and stakeholder meetings and forums as required.
- Managing and leading the development of tender responses for new financial assistance programs or other related services.

As a statutory body of the Queensland Government we have been helping primary producers and industry recover from natural disaster, improve sustainability and profitability, make a start in business, and overcome difficult conditions, for more than 30 years.
As the Queensland Government's experts in rural finance, we also administer the State Government's Farm Business Debt Mediation program, the Farm Debt Reconstruction Office, conduct a biennial Rural Debt Survey, undertake research and provide advice to the Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing, and Minister for Regional and Rural Development.
