About The Role
We are looking for an energetic and talented Junior Designer to join our in-house creative studio to help drive our brands in the fast-paced Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
The primary role of the Good Drinks Studio is to service the broad range of packaging, marketing and communications needs of our portfolio of brands. In addition, The Studio often engages in new brand or product (NPD) development to add new offerings to our portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Design Lead & Studio Manager, this role is often fast-paced, requires attention to detail, and requires the ability to quickly jump between brands and project types. Most importantly, it requires a dedicated team player who can roll with a close-knit team, working independently or collaboratively to serve The Studio's greater goals.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years under their belt, be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and be keen to continue their professional development in soft and hard skills. They will have a passion for good design and have a folio to back it up. They can follow briefs, be open to learning and can flow with a high performing team. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will bring be a great addition to our team and culture whilst sharing our universal love of beer o'clock on a Friday arvo.
Skills and Experiences:
Key Responsibilities
- Collateral Design - design brand assets to drive brand awareness and conversion, including instore point of sale, visibility items, events/activation assets, advertising materials and sales support tools.
- Asset Management - develop and maintain brand/style guidelines and controlling brand assets, logo suites, and other brand particulars (in conjunction with Brand Manager).
- Collaboration- Work closely with the marketing and design team to continuously evolve and enhance creativity by adopting and adapting to new technologies and best practice principles to maximise consumer appeal and engagement.
- Print Management - ensure design quality and consistency are maintained across various print and digital mediums across multiple brands.
- New Product & Brand Development - working closely with the Marketing and Design Team, you will support the development of new products and initiatives from execution and launch
- At least 2 years of professional design experience preferred.
- Experience in an agency or in-house desired
- Technically proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
- Ability to apply design concepts to create compelling advertising collateral
- Possess strong conceptual, layout and typographical skills.
- Creative and passionate about all aspects of design and trends.
- Strong ability to interpret a creative concept into engaging design across marketing channels.
- Keen attention to detail and organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication, prioritisation, and presentation skills.
- Resilient in an often fast-paced, team-driven environment.
Additional Skills in these areas will be considered a bonus to the core role advertised. These are desired but not essential requirements.
