You will be required to support your team to manage workloads and deliver permit administration services with a customer focus to ensure responsible use of the state’s minerals and energy resources. You will support the Senior Project Officer and Manager, Assessment to coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders and support the assessment of exploration and mining operations.

About The Role
In this role you will:
- Assist in the delivery of efficient and cost-effective, high-quality tenures management services within the region consistent with the objectives of the department's strategic direction.
- Prepare timely, accurate and clearly articulated analyses, submissions, reports, briefings and correspondence relating to complex issues, as well as responses to ad hoc requests from senior staff for internal and external use, including requests from the Minister for Resources, Director-General, Deputy Director General and Executive Director.
- Represent the department in conferences, seminars and education initiatives and other industry consumer forums.
- Assist with auditing and contribute towards the development and maintenance of administrative support systems that will assist in discharging the department's legislative and administrative obligations.
- Develop legislative knowledge relevant to administration of exploration and mining permits to provide accurate advice to senior management, external stakeholders and clients.
- Experience or qualifications in any fields relating to spatial systems, geoscience, law or similar would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- The ability to manage multiple complex projects and business processes.
- Ability to participate in a geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary team.
