About us:

Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol & Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialised mental health and substance abuse care to over 250,000 residents in Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands, and Banana areas. Rockhampton is the main hub, housing acute adult inpatient facilities, an Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility in Gladstone, and an Adult Community Care Unit.

The Adult Community Service Team, based in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast, offers outpatient and home-based support for complex mental illnesses. This includes assessment, case management, and therapeutic treatment, with a focus on symptom reduction and recovery, in collaboration with various health providers.

About the role:

  • Assists develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems relating to 1300 MH CALL, performance reports and business processes.
  • Utilise a wide variety of PC based systems with demonstrated expertise in the use and application of Microsoft Office suite, electronic mail, accurate data entry and retrieval from variety of information systems.
  • Provide a first-point-of-call (acute) telephone response service for patients, relatives, General Practitioners, Emergency Services, Hospitals, and Mental Health Services statewide and interstate and ensure calls are processed or directed to the appropriate area for care by health professionals in a timely manner using tact, diplomacy, and discretion in accordance with 1300 MH CALL processes.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of consumers and with staff at all levels, including clinical, medical, administrative and management.
  • Maintain a professional approach to all tasks to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and quality of health data and personal information at all times.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $97,656 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $38.81 - $43.16 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
