This not-for-profit membership association serves as the authoritative voice representing volunteers in the emergency services sector. Committed to advocacy and support, it provides a wide range of operational and welfare programs, including training and events, education scholarships, volunteer family days, counselling and family support, and grants programs.
This role reports directly to the CEO with support from an Events Coordinator.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee event coordination and logistics for the upcoming conference in Tamworth (May 30th – June 1st), ideally attending over the weekend
- Act as the central point for drawing together all event elements, including finalizing exhibitor arrangements and ensuring seamless execution
- Liaise with exhibitors, sponsors, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth experience
- Work closely with volunteers, understanding their diverse needs and communication preferences
- Utilize ASANA and Microsoft Suite for project management and event organization
- Provide support in stakeholder engagement across all levels, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Demonstrated background in event management
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including volunteers and directors
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to build rapport
- Proficiency in ASANA (or ability to pick up quickly) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of volunteer management and the ability to adapt communication styles for different demographics
- Exposure to sponsorship management is beneficial but not required
