Accurate Asphalt & Road Repairs (AARR) is a well-established, dynamic, Newcastle based company, focused on the provision of a diverse range of road construction and maintenance services to Government, Public and Private sectors across NSW. Specialising in asphalt, in-situ stabilisation and civil construction AARR is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and building strong customer relationships.

This Leadership Role:

This is an exciting role and an important leadership position. You will be responsible for coordinating the company's operational administration and our compliance systems to ensure that we perform our works to the best of our ability and within quality, safety and environmental guidelines. It is a multi-faceted role that would best suit someone with integrity, tenacity and initiative. You will be making an important contribution to delivering the company's services and will be joining a successful and supportive team.

This role is involved with all aspects of operations administration and compliance coordination, including:

  • General Administration – general office duties, answering phones, filing, data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, keeping company records up to date, assisting the General Manager and Director as required. Provision of general support to all business units.
  • Project Documentation – preparation of project-specific documentation in conjunction with the Sales Team including run sheets, quality assurance documents, work health & safety documents and subcontractor compliance requirements.
  • Compliance Requirements - coordination and development of company ISO systems, completion of induction requirements for projects, liaise with Sales and Operations Teams to ensure project specific compliance requirements are met. Managing company and site induction requirements as required.
  • Operational Team Support - support the Operations Teams when they are out in the field by providing administrative support to their activities as required.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate and communicate between Sales and Operations Crews to ensure the effective execution of work.
  • Excellent organisational skills to facilitate the use of business systems to their full extent to maximise efficiencies and minimise duplication.

Experience, Qualifications and Competency Requirements:

  • Experience in office and administration operations.
  • Experience in coordinating multiple tasks for teams.
  • Previous experience in Work Health & Safety (WHS), Quality Assurance (QA) and Environmental Planning (EMP).
  • Previous experience in managing ISO systems would be an advantage, but is not essential.
  • Direct experience in the construction industry would also be an advantage, but again is not essential.

Functional/Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Ability to handle a demanding position and work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Reliable and committed.
  • Planning and organisation – good time management.
  • Communication – ability to speak effectively with peers, management and crew.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competency with MS Office and MS TEAMS.
