About the role:We are seeking a Field Safety Advisor to join our team at Aruma! In this role you will have focus supporting Staff to be compliant with legislative OH&S requirements whilst also fostering a safe practices culture for all workers in the workplace. This role supported by the National safety Lead collaborates with team leaders and management across Aruma Sites, assisting employees of all abilities to assess and develop job skills to meet business and customer goals. This role provides advice and coaching to help supported employees develop vocational skills to assist them achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities:1. Champion IMS rollout and other Employment projects through the coaching and inspection and use of work, health and safety operational requirements, including assessing compliance and understanding of workplace checklists, data collection and safe work practices
2. Work with Quality, Systems and Accreditation Coordinator through effective communication and consultation with operational stakeholders’ in line with the SLA requirements for employment to:
- Develop standardised safe work practices, developing a consistent, and flexible safety culture across Employment.
- Develop and write SWMS and SOPs to support safe and compliant workplaces, reviewing as required.
- Ensure Employment safe working practices align to Aruma policy and practices (which includes recommending improvements or adjustments)
- Prepare local teams for internal reviews and audits.
3. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to assess skills gaps and training needs, identifying additional coaching requirements for supported employees to meet their vocational employment goals

- Sound knowledge of Plant and equipment
- Minimum Cert IV in Work Health & Safety or willing to obtain
- Demonstrated experience in a role within a similar industry
- Demonstrated experience in relevant coaching and Mentoring
- Understanding of WHS requirements in the workplace
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to coach individuals or small groups
- Able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to problem-solving, pro-actively and reactively to safety and risk related matters arising in the workplace
- Sound interpersonal skills with negotiation and conflict management skills
- Sound time management and organisational skills
- Sound computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office
- Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing circumstances, with a customer-centric orientation.
- Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
- A current driver’s license.
Desirable
- Cert IV TAE and instructional design certification, and trade qualification or equivalent skills and experience.
- Will require White Card
