Junior Systems Engineer

The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer to work as a part of the Tactical Data Link Test and Evaluation Services (TDL TES) contract. The contract provides software certification services of systems utilising Tactical Data Links, including engineering analysis, test and evaluation, reporting to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. You will support a range of platforms across the ADF, conducting software testing in both a laboratory environment and in the field with operational assets. The role can be based in Brisbane or Canberra with domestic travel as required.
Responsibilities
* Support the engineering evaluation of TDL platforms, from requirements definition, through system implementation, verification, validation and certification.
* Support conduct of test and evaluation activities, to achieve the required outcomes.
* Evaluate communication messages to validate platforms meet standards for TDL network interoperability.
* Development of technical documentation, including plans, processes and procedures to support the ongoing development and improvement of certification services.
* Develop experience with emerging TDL capabilities and their introduction into new and existing systems to meet future ADF interoperability requirements and in support of future projects.
Experience/Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
* Strong technical writing skills.
* Ability to collect, evaluate and analyse test data.
* Experience with software testing in a software environment is highly regarded.
* Experience in Data Communication and/or Tactical Data Links is highly regarded.
* Familiarity with Australian Defence Force platforms is highly regarded.
