Your New Role - Business Development Manager
We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who thrives on building connections, spotting opportunities, and turning ideas into results. This full-time role is perfect for someone who brings curiosity, resilience, and a forward-thinking approach to business growth.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify and target new business opportunities in the freight forwarding and customs sectors across Brisbane and wider Australia.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Engage in lead generation, prospecting, and closing new business deals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and customer demands to position the company effectively within the logistics industry.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with both local and international stakeholders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines.
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of existing clients to ensure continued satisfaction, revenue growth, and retention. Provide proactive account management and address customer concerns.
- Meet or exceed sales targets by driving new business and expanding existing accounts. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, performance metrics, and forecasts.
- Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customs, and logistics experts, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in freight forwarding, logistics, and customs compliance.

- Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or account management in the freight forwarding, logistics, or customs industry.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding, customs procedures, and logistics management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer-focused approach with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed within Brisbane and surrounding regions.
