Mental Health Clinician | DVA | BrisbaneWe are seeking an experienced Mental Health Clinician in Brisbane to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health care. This role involves conducting clinical assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and supporting veterans through in-person and telehealth services .
As a Mental health Clinician , you will play a key role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of veterans . You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised care, conduct clinical assessments, and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards .
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, client-centered care tailored to veterans
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments using DSM-5 criteria
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions
- Develop individualised care plans and monitor client progress
- Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Social Work, or a related field
- Experience applying evidence-based mental health practices
- Strong clinical documentation and report-writing skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with DSM-5 criteria and its clinical application
- Experience working with veterans or veteran-focused services
- Understanding of military culture and service-related mental health conditions
