UnitingCare are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team.
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for analysing and visualising financial and operational data to support strategic decision-making within UnitingCare Queensland.
Please note, this is a permanent full time role with hybrid working options available.
Your part in our UnitingCare team:
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Generate dashboards and other visualisations, which help executives and stakeholders make informed decisions.
- Build and maintain data models to project future financial performance, assessing risks, and forecasting outcomes.
- Collaborate with other teams to provide actionable insights that support business strategies, cost reduction, revenue growth, and operational improvements.
- Leverage advanced analytics tools, such as Power BI/Fabric, SQL, and other BI platforms, to analyse data. They may also use machine learning models to predict future trends or optimise financial strategies.
- Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the financial and operational performance of the organisation.
- Streamline and automate reporting processes, improving efficiency and ensuring the timely delivery of data-driven insights.
- Translate complex data and analysis into clear, understandable insights for non-financial stakeholders, often preparing presentations for senior management or board members.
What makes a difference for us?
- Certified Business Analyst including IIBA or PMI-PBA
- Certified as a Power BI Data Analyst Associate
- 5+ years’ experience in data analysis, financial modelling, and forecasting, with the ability to extract actionable insights from complex data sets.
- 3+ years’ recent experience Power BI and advanced analytical tools. Strong knowledge of SQL, Excel, Azure Synapse Analytics, GitHub, Azure DevOps and supporting programming languages like Python, SQL and Git.
- Ability to create clear, visually engaging dashboards and reports that communicate complex insights to stakeholders.
- Proven experience using collaboration software applications, such as Confluence, JIRA, MS Teams, SharePoint and Visio.
