About the role
The Production Engineer will be responsible for driving continuous improvement and innovation with operational improvement programs to improve cost outcomes, quality, safety and engagement in the site workforce. You will also be responsible for cost management and analysis in relation to projects and production.
- Drive continuous improvement (CI) activities on site
- Technical design, modification and improvement of processes, systems and equipment
- Ensure all modifications and additions to assets have been designed and checked for engineering integrity
- Reviewing client issued and 3rd party drafted drawings
- Estimating and ordering production consumables for projects
- Working closely with both Sales and Operations to help with on-time delivery of customer orders
- Work closely with Operations team to design fit for purpose molds within the budgeted scope
- Monitor production costs
About you:
- Qualification in Engineering or a sound understanding of Mechanical or Civil Engineering principles.
- Desirable experience in prestress or precast reinforced concrete manufacture
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and CAD would be highly advantageous
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent customer focus and communication skills
