An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially savvy professional to join a dynamic and growing energy business based in Brisbane. This key role will play a crucial part in driving business development, managing commercial agreements, and fostering stakeholder relationships to support strategic growth initiatives.The Opportunity As a Commercial Advisor, you will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to negotiate commercial contracts, identify and develop business opportunities, and engage with key industry stakeholders. Your expertise in commercial strategy, contract management, and stakeholder engagement will be instrumental in shaping the future of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate, review, and manage commercial agreements to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with legal teams to assess contract terms and mitigate risks.
- Develop strong relationships with industry partners, government bodies, and joint venture stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities aligned with growth strategies.
- Conduct market analysis and support business case development for new ventures.
- Liaise with internal teams across finance, engineering, and operations to drive commercial initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 7-10 years’ experience in a commercial, business development, or advisory role within the Oil & Gas, Mining, or Resources industries.
- A strong commercial mindset with proven experience in contract negotiation and business case development.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, or a related discipline.
- An understanding of industry regulations, commercial frameworks, and infrastructure agreements.
