For more information visit: mic.qld.edu.au About the RoleAs a member of the College’s Executive Team, reporting to our new Principal who commences in Term 2, our Business Manager will lead and manage MIC’s non-teaching operations and staff by implementing business strategies and evaluating the College’s financial performance to ensure a positive, productive and efficient team culture. In this role you will perform as a Chief Operating/Financial Officer and Facilities Manager, by:Contributing to the development and realisation of MIC’s goals and objectives by designing and implementing operational strategies and plans to meet MIC’s goals;Assessing and reporting to the Principal and Board on MIC’s overall functional performance;Contributing to the planning of resource allocation to ensure that MIC has sufficient resources such as staff, material and equipment, including utilisation of responsible procurement practices;Being responsible for Finance; day to day accounting, finance, risk management, internal control function;Developing and delivering comprehensive budgets and performing periodic financial analyses, with oversight to the entire Finance and Accounts function, ensuring MIC is fiscally responsible and viable. About YouWe are looking for someone with a strong background in Finance with formal qualifications, CA or CPA preferred as well as operational management experience. If you have past experience in education, you will hit the ground running, but not-for-profit experience would also be an advantage. You will also have: Strong analytical skills and experience operationalising a strategic vision;Management, leadership, team building, consulting and facilitation skills, importantly including the generation of trust and loyalty amongst staff;Demonstrated executive level experience in a similar role across financial management, strategy development, governance and risk mitigation;Resilience and intelligence (both intellectual and emotional);Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes and future strategic directions.About the Process Apply now including your Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
