Description:

Reporting to the Finance and Treasury Manager, as our Financial Accountant, your immediate team of four will support you to complete the business financial accounting, reporting and accounts payable tasks. Whilst you will have some relevant experience in the early stages of your career, as you demonstrate independence, you will be provided with a broader range of responsibilities, as we encourage learning and development and keep employees challenged.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or similar
  • 2 or more years relevant experience in Australia
  • High proficiency with MS Excel, with MS Business Central advantageous but not essential
  • Self motivated, eager to build on your current financial accounting experiences and enjoy bringing new ideas to the team
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work from our office in Southbank, Victoria at least twice a week.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

We are looking for an ambitious, analytical minded person who is also interested in bringing their ideas and looking at how we can evolve and improve our systems.

Your Day To Day Will Not Be Limited To

  • Preparing financial reconciliations and monthly journals
  • Manage payment to suppliers
  • Prepare business activity statements
  • Tax return preparation for external consultants and assist with external audits
  • Prepare and analyse financial data
  • Preparation of ABS submissions
  • Continual refining of our financial system
  • Ensure compliance is met and maintain our high Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
