NXT GIG is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our finance team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing financial procedures, processing transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. Your role will include preparing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and assisting in financial audits. - Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts while monitoring spending against budget
- Process invoices, handle accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank statements
- Review financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation
- Identify areas for cost reduction and improve financial efficiency within the organization
- Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Finance Officer or in a similar financial role
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and bookkeeping
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
