About the Role:
As an Employment Consultant operating within the Workforce Australia Services program, you will provide one-on-one support to people from different socio-economic backgrounds focusing on education and upskilling programs to achieve sustainable and fulfilling employment.
You will be responsible for delivering high quality, individually tailored services and support, with the aim of placing people into sustainable employment with local employers. Our caseload sizes enable you to spend the time to understand your clients need and match them to the right employer.
Key responsibilities:
- Motivate, engage and inspire job seekers to build their skills, experience and confidence and to work with them to remove their perceived barriers
- Create individually tailored services and support plans
- Support people to find suitable, sustainable and meaningful employment opportunities with local or national employers
- Build and maintain a network of employers to generate and source employment opportunities
- Provide post-placement support to both the jobseeker and employers
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following skills and experience:
- Be results and target driven
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and build rapport with jobseekers and employers
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse range of people from different socio-economic backgrounds
- Be passionate about helping people and making a difference in the community
- Be highly organised and possess strong administration skills
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office or similar software and experience using databases
- Be results and target driven
- Be flexible and capable of managing competing demands in a fast-paced and changing environment
