About the Role:
In this position, you will leverage your strong commercial insight, excellent negotiation skills, and passion for construction to work both independently and collaboratively within the team. You'll be in regular communication with the Estimating team and the General Manager to ensure the success of each project.
Ideally, you will have experience working with a Tier 1, 2, or 3 builder and have a proven track record pricing a variety of projects in the $500k+ range in Sydney.
What We're Looking For:

- 2-3 years of estimating experience with a reputable Australian builder
- A strong understanding of local contractors and suppliers
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Proven experience securing projects valued over $500k
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a polished professional appearance
- Up-to-date knowledge of Building Codes and regulations
- A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve buildability challenges
- In-depth understanding of construction methods for tender submissions
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate projects from first principles, producing accurate bills of quantities based on detailed design documentation
- Work on a variety of commercial projects, including D&C for educational, aged care, residential, and government infrastructure projects
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors and internal teams, managing procurement and developing detailed cost plans
- Interpret designs and architectural documentation, ensuring the project scope is effectively communicated and coordinated
- Occasionally reassess and rescope projects, negotiating pricing to enhance profitability
- Maintain an energetic, positive attitude, ensuring strong communication and teamwork throughout the project lifecycle
