What You Will Do:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in maintaining and optimising our Azure cloud-based healthcare data archival software. This role requires strong problem-solving, automation, and cloud infrastructure expertise to ensure system reliability, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and IT operations to enhance redundancy, performance monitoring, and cloud cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Analyse system performance using Azure Log Analytics to identify and address performance bottlenecks and system errors.
• Manage infrastructure for scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Utilise Azure Automation, Logic Apps, Functions, etc. to streamline and automate operational tasks.
• Monitor Azure DevOps pipelines for CD processes, ensuring seamless deployment across environments.
• Optimise resource utilisation and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with software development teams to improve scalability and security of Azure architecture.
• Maintain compliance with security and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents with a root cause analysis approach.

Experience/Knowledge/Competencies You Will Need:

• Proficiency in T-SQL and KQL.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell.
• C# experience is a plus.
• Strong experience with Azure services including, but not limited to Azure VMs, Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Storage solutions.
• Expertise in using Azure DevOps, Azure ARM templates, and BICEP for infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with managing source control in Git within Azure Repos.
• Strong security mindset, understanding of compliance best practices in a cloud environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
• Strong documentation skills for creating detailed reports and maintenance logs.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred.
• 4 to 10 years of experience in a DevOps role, with extensive experience in managing and optimising Azure cloud environments.
• Prior experience in healthcare IT or data archival solutions is a plus
