The Role


The role of Teacher - Learning Enhancement is for a passionate and experienced educator committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences for our students. This role aligns with classroom teacher responsibilities, particularly in supporting students with learning difficulties, EAL/D students, and gifted education. It involves facilitating the whole College commitment to the inclusion of students with diverse needs.


You will work closely with the Head of Learning Enhancement and Heads of Faculty, collaborating with teachers, students, and parents. Your role is to embed inclusive practices by developing and implementing teaching and learning initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes for diverse learners from Year 5 to Year 9. This ensures that each student is empowered to achieve the highest possible level of academic performance.


This role would suite a experienced Secondary or Primary Teacher or a Teacher who is specialist trained in Learning Enhancement or Supported Learning needs keen to join our expanding Learning Enhancement Faculty.


This is a Full Time, Fixed Term role until end of Term 2 2026.


Duties include



  • Case management of identified students and supporting student from Year 5 to Year 9 with diverse learning needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to individuals and groups of students ensuring all students can access the curriculum and complete course work.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Learning Enhancement, ensure accurate records of student interventions and progress is maintained and provide suitable communication and reports to teachers and parents.
  • Assist teachers in the design of high-quality differentiated practices that embed evidence-based strategies.
  • Provide specialist expertise, advice, and support for teachers to effectively plan, teach and assess diverse learners.
  • Experience band-scaling EAL/D students to ensure equitable access to curriculum and assessment.
  • Use data cycles to identify, track, plan for, implement, report, and evaluate quality evidence-based supports for diverse learners.
  • Proven ability to incorporate technology into the curriculum.

About You



  • Primary or Secondary teaching experience with proven ability to plan and deliver exceptional teaching and learning intervention programs that meet the needs of diverse learners, and are consistent with relevant syllabuses, curriculum policies, work programs and current education trends.
  • Exemplary teaching practice and currency of knowledge to improve student achievement.
  • Ability to apply expert knowledge of the evidence-based interventions that incorporate cross-curricular priorities and general abilities across all subject areas.
  • Ability to create a safe, secure learning environment in which trust is fostered, individual differences are respected and valued, and students are encouraged to be risk-takers and self-directed learners.
  • Ability to apply creative and innovative practices and processes in education and digital platform tools to support student learning.
  • Strong team orientation with the willingness to contribute and collaborate in a team environment
  • Registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
