CSSD Technician
Full-time Part-Time and Casual roles available
We are looking for Instrument Technicians to join our Sterilisation team at The Avenue Private Hospital.
About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment for the Hospital’s clinical departments and external customers. This will include working in conjunction with the Operating Theatre staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment where applicable. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently with your team to manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
You will ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the various Operating Theatre areas and CSSD whilst practising exceptional customer service and maintaining the high operational standards of the sterilisation department.
In this role you will report to the CSSD Manager and work closely with an efficient professional team.
About You
To succeed in this role you will bring proven experience in Clinical Sterilisation services, ideally within a hospital setting. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
The flexibility to work a rotating roster including purely night shifts will be required.
You will also bring;
- Minimum 2-3 years CSSD experience.
- Certificate III in Sterilisation will be essential for this role.
- Ability to work across all areas of clinical sterilisation including loans room.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
