About the Role:

As a Speech Pathologist with Down South Therapy, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. You’ll work closely with children, adults, and families to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. Your role will involve developing and implementing individualised treatment plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy to clients of all ages.
  • Achieve a realistic and achievable average KPI of 4.2 clients per day, including billable admin time.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to support client progress.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, professional development, and community outreach.
  • Develop and lead projects in areas that align with your professional passion and interests, contributing to the growth and innovation of our services.

Skills And Experiences

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current SPA membership.
  • Experience working with a diverse client base, including children and adults (experience in paediatrics is highly regarded).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
