Are you a passionate and dedicated physiotherapist seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in people's lives? SA Health is currently seeking a highly skilled AHP2 Physiotherapist to join our esteemed team at the Older Persons Mental Health Services (OPMHS) Ward 18V, located at the Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide's southern metropolitan area.
About the role:
Reporting to the Director Physiotherapy and EP RAP this role you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our elderly patients with mental health conditions. Your expertise in physiotherapy will be instrumental in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans, promoting physical well-being, and enhancing their overall quality of life. Duties for the role will include but not limited to:
- Participate on provision of co-ordinated health care by liaising with medical, nursing and other professional staff regarding patient care in meetings, ward rounds, clinics and providing written reports or other communications.
- Facilitate patient discharge by maintenance of close links with community and other resources.
- Assist in promotion of professional development by participating in ongoing involvement with quality improvement projects, self-appraisal (SA Health supervision framework), performance development, in-service education programmes and research.
About you:
- Eligible for registration as a Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia
- Physiotherapy skills in assessment and management of a broad range of conditions.
- Ability to set priorities and manage one’s time effectively including the ability to supervise Physiotherapy students and assistants.
