About the Role:
In this vital role, you will be accountable to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and report to the Nurse Unit Manager, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team. Your main focus will be providing exceptional direct care and assisting with creating and implementing engaging leisure and lifestyle programs for residents. By offering personalised activities and care, you'll help improve the well-being and quality of life of our residents.

Our staff members and volunteers play an integral role in the health and wellbeing of clients by providing companionship and support and encouraging independence. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to residents, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate personalised activities that enhance residents’ lifestyles.
- Record observations and document resident care in line with established policies.
- Set up and operate relevant equipment, machinery, and systems, including computerised records.
- Offer guidance and support to other staff, ensuring teamwork and collaboration.
- Complete necessary training and development to maintain skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
What We’re Looking For:
- Completed AQF Certificate III relevant to the role.
- Experience in aged care, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
