SA Health, a world-class public healthcare provider, is seeking an exceptional Nursing Director to lead our Community Mental Health Services within the Southern Executive Team. About the role:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing & Midwifery this role will spearhead a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals, fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and compassionate care. Your strategic vision and clinical expertise will drive the continuous improvement of mental health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care across diverse communities.
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders, healthcare partners, and community representatives to develop and implement evidence-based practices, policies, and initiatives that address the unique mental health needs of our diverse population. Your leadership will empower your team to provide culturally responsive care, promoting equitable access and positive health outcomes for all.
About you:
- Registered as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and prioritise workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a service including resource management.
