About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (A/NUM) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing services across a range of clinical settings, drawing on your experience and further studies to develop from a competent to a proficient practitioner. As an A/NUM, you will take accountability for your own practice, delegate responsibilities, and offer guidance to less experienced staff. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care and supporting the development of your team.
In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent, you will assist in the leadership and management of the ward/unit/service, contributing to a range of vital functions including staffing, rostering, recruitment, performance management, and financial planning. You will work closely with other A/NUMs to promote continuity of care and implement practice changes. About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a combination of clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Registered Nurse or Midwife with at least 3 years' post-registration experience and current practicing certificate.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven experience in leading and fostering staff development, as well as driving change management initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, and healthcare frameworks, with a focus on person-centred care.
