As a Technician, you will play a key role in equipment upkeep, TPM and breakdown maintenance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to OH&S, Quality, and Food Safety guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Execute machine setups, including die changes, robot setups, and material/color/label changes, following standard operating procedures.
- Proficient in completing setup and die changes of various sizes.
- Skilled in inserting changes, managing master batch changes, and performing calibrations.
- Ensure product quality by fine-tuning processes, conducting visual inspections, adhering to weight and cycle time standards, and performing routine checks using precision measuring instruments.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, documentation, and record relevant data as per established procedures.
- Address minor maintenance or tooling issues that may arise during production, utilizing discretion and judgment within competency levels to resolve problems.
- Collaborate with relevant departments and team members to communicate equipment, molding, quality, or production issues effectively.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the work area and conduct routine Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) activities.
- Actively participate in improvement activities and projects to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
- Replenish raw materials during production and ensure machines are started up and shut down properly.
- Perform any additional duties as directed or required by the Team Leader to support operational needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of injection moulding, manufacturing and support processes.
- Knowledgeable in working with robots and in-mould labels.
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating injection moulding machines, IML and robots (preferred).
- Forklift license (preferred).
- Experienced in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Suitable IT skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
