- Work Type: Part time permanent
- Band 3 - $67,101 - $71,520 per annum plus superannuation (pro rata)
- Location: Parkdale Family and Children's Centre

The City of Kingston operates three Family and Children's Centres in Carrum, Edithvale and Parkdale with our Parkdale Centre proudly holding an “Exceeding” rating under the National Quality Standard.

A bit about the role
The Early Years Educator provides responsive high-quality care and education for children in accordance with the City of Kingston Policies, Procedures, Philosophies, relevant Regulations and Frameworks. Under the guidance of the Education and Care Leader or Kindergarten Teacher contribute to the planning, implementing and evaluating children’s learning.
In this role you will:
- Provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment to ensure the inclusion of all children.
- Contribute positively to the team culture.
- Build relationships: Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with children, families and other team members
- Work Together: Collaborate with leaders, coworkers, families, children, and the community
- Adhere to the requirements of the National Quality Standards and framework, Regulations and EYLF
- Program Implementation: Assist in the implementation of high-quality children’s programs that respond to individual strengths and interests of children, families, and staff.
Your Skills and Experience
As a passionate, caring and nurturing individual, you will have a strong passion for Early Childhood education along with the following;
- Minimum Qualification: Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Clearances: Current Employee Working with Children check
- First Aid Certification: Level 2 First Aid, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis management and CPR
