Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Fertility Specialist to join the Women’s and Children’s department at Northern Health.

Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Fertility Specialist to join the Public Fertility Service and Gynaecology Team at Northern Health.
This is a fixed term part time position (22.75 hours per fortnight) until November 2025
The Public Fertility Service at Northern Health is a Tier 1 site of the Public Fertility Care service in conjunction with Royal Women’s Hospital, Parkville. The service provides assessment and investigation of infertility including surgical interventions; as well as ovulation induction and in-cycle care for IVF and IUI partnering with The Royal Women’s Hospital. Your role within the Public Fertility Service will include fertility clinics, supervision of in-cycle care, supporting fertility nurses performing ultrasound and providing advice and support to medical and nursing colleagues within this service.
This position also includes general gynaecology clinic and elective theatre lists at The Northern Hospital Epping and Broadmeadows Hospital. This role involves teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and medical students from the Northern Clinical School.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions or restrictions.
- Specialist Registration as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG)
- Hold at least 50% of the minimum required CME points in the RANZCOG or equivalent CME programme in the management of fertility (fertility specialist)
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in a fertility service including IVF in-cycle management (Desirable)
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
