Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Obstetrician/Gynaecologist - Urogynaecology to join the Women’s and Children’s department at Northern Health.
About Northern Health:
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an Obstetrician/Gynaecologist to provide urogynaecology services at Northern Health.
This position is fixed term part time (11.5 hours per fortnight) until August 2025
The role will include a weekly urogynaecology clinic and monthly all-day operating list for the provision of surgical care to the patients from the urogynaecology clinic. Within the clinic you will be required to supervise junior medical staff and provide support to our nurse led urodynamics and pessary clinic. The role also provides advise to our Advanced Practice Physiotherapist – Prolapse and Incontinence through regular meetings as required.
There is scope within this role to provide cover for other general obstetrics and gynaecology services within Northern Health on an as required basis if this is desired.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no conditions or restrictions.
- Specialist Registration as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (FRANZCOG)
- RANZCOG Certification in Urogynaecology (CU) or equivalent; or evidence of advanced training and experience in the outpatient and surgical management of women with pelvic floor disorders.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
